Pardon Our
French:
a day about the creator economy across the US and France
Creators. Platforms. Media. Brands. Agencies. Founders. Publishing.
One private gathering in Paris.
Our book begins with a simple question: what can France and America learn from each other? On September 28, that conversation leaves the page. We are Alex and Tom. We will be your hosts.
Hôtel de Talleyrand · U.S. Embassy in Paris
September 28 · 10:45am – 12:45pm
There is no ticket to buy.
A limited number of invitations are being considered by request.
Hosted by: Alex Durand · Tom Carles
The address
A historic house for a new kind of conversation.
Talleyrand hosted Europe’s leaders at this table, with Antonin Carême, the world’s first celebrity chef, in the kitchen. The Marshall Plan was administered from these offices. The United States bought the building in 1950; today it is part of the U.S. Embassy in Paris. On September 28, the house fills again, with a cross-section of the people who move culture and business between France and America. Paris Fashion Week begins that same day.
Hosted with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Paris
Two countries that love to tease each other, and cannot stop loving each other. One day for everything they share.

Six million followers. Billions of views. A Penguin book. Along the way: Macron, Trudeau, David Guetta, the Olympics, the World Cup, the White House Correspondents Dinner. America changed our lives. For years our work has lived in the space between France and America, the funny parts and the deep ones. The book is the next chapter. On September 28, we bring it home.
